ACORN South By Five - Pollok Park

ACORN South By Five at Pollok Park is a single-event entry on 13 December 2026 and forms part of the South By Five series. The series is based on the South Side Six and visits six city parks over a 12 week period.

Each park hosts a 5 km event. Entrants may enter individual races or a full-series entry. To complete the series and earn the title "Fiver", a participant must finish five of the six races.

The six parks and dates in the series are Kings Park on 1 November, Linn Park on 15 November, Rouken Glen on 29 November, Pollok Park on 13 December, Bellahouston Park on 3 January, and Queens Park on 17 January. The final race will be followed by a gathering and prize giving at a local bowling club near Queens Park.

All races are free to enter but places are limited; the Pollok Park event shows a total of 65 places and registration for this event is closed. Entry includes a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund to support local coaching, first aid training, donations to local causes, and trail and park maintenance. Entrants are also encouraged to bring donations to the local foodbank in lieu of an entry fee.

Series entries are subject to attendance rules: if a full-series entrant fails to attend two of the first three events, the series entry will be withdrawn and offered to the waiting list with no refund. Merchandise options were available during sign up until the end of August. A litter pick will be organised for each park with details provided closer to the events.
