About the race
Cuningar Loop 5k/10k is a community running event in Glasgow, Rutherglen (postcode G73 1PW) held on 25 October 2026. The event offers two measured race distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
Races are fully chip timed. Race chips are attached to the race bibs, which are collected at the on-site registration desk on event day; registration typically opens an hour and a half before the race. The course is measured and marked with kilometre markers, and hydration stations are provided along the route. Course marshals are present and an instructor-led warm up takes place before the races.
Age guidance follows Scottish Athletics recommendations: 5k runners should be 11 or above, and 10k runners should be above 15. Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian who should remain on site if the child runs unaccompanied.
Event operations include photographer coverage with free race day photos available online after the event. Online entries typically close two days before the event and on-the-day entries are usually available subject to availability; on-the-day cash entry is typically £20 for the 5k and £25 for the 10k. Event rules note that dogs are not permitted and standard headphones are not allowed while bone conduction headphones are acceptable.
