Cuningar Loop 5k/10k
Cuningar Loop 5k/10k is a community running event in Rutherglen, Glasgow G73 1PW taking place on 25 October 2026. The event offers measured, chip timed races and provides on-course support including hydration stations, kilometre markers, course marshals, and instructor-led warm ups. Finishers receive a quality medal and participants are offered goody bags with sports nutrition snacks and promotional offers.
Registration and race administration use the Let's Do This booking system. Race bibs and timing chips are collected at the registration desk on event day; the timing chip is attached to the race number and should be secured to an outer garment for accurate results. Race photos are made available on the event website after the race.
Age guidelines follow Scottish Athletics recommendations: 5 km runners should be 11 or above and 10 km runners should be above 15. Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian, who should be onsite at all times if the child runs unaccompanied. Dogs are not permitted on the course and standard headphones are not allowed; bone conduction headphones are acceptable.
Online entries typically close shortly before event day and on-the-day entries are often available if the event has not sold out. The event is organised by Up and Running Events and relies on volunteers for marshals and event support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
