K-Town on the River Triathlons
K-Town on the River is a multi-format race meeting held in South Knoxville with start and finish activity centered on Suttree's Landing and Island Home Park. The event offers triathlon, duathlon, aquabike and mixed-relay options across sprint, Olympic and half-iron distances. Registration opens on 2025-11-27 and closes on 2025-12-01; fees vary by distance and category.
Distances include:
- Sprint: 1000 m swim, 14 mi bike, 5 km run
- Olympic: 1900 m swim, 25 mi bike, 10 km run
- Half-Iron: 2200 m swim, 56 mi bike, 13.1 mi run
Course notes: sprint and Olympic swims travel downstream to Suttree's Landing; the half-iron course begins with a brief upstream segment before continuing downstream. Bike routes move through Island Home and scenic South Knoxville roads. Runs follow riverside paths through the Island Home neighborhood onto the Will Skelton Greenway, with segments passing Meads Quarry and the Forks of the River before returning to Suttree's Landing boardwalk.
Event logistics include on-site packet pickup before race day and same-day packet options, shuttle service to the swim start, and a finish-line expo. The organizer maintains a no-refund policy; insurance is offered during registration. Event shirts are not guaranteed for registrations made within two weeks of the event.
