Just Peachy 5K & 10K
The Grand Junction Sports Commission organizes the Just Peachy event in Palisade, offering multiple community footraces and accompanying activities. The program includes a 5K described as family-friendly and suitable for beginners, a 10K that runs through Palisade with scenic views, and kids races.

Packet pick-up takes place on Thursday, August 13 at Grand Valley Primary Care - Palisade (5:00pm-7:00pm) and on race day at Veteran's Memorial Park (7:00am-8:15am). Kids do not need to register for the 1 km or 100 m; a parent or guardian must sign a waiver prior to the race.
The event is presented by Community Hospital. Registration includes an event t-shirt, a finisher's medal, peaches, access to the Palisade Lions Club pancake breakfast, and entry to Peach Fest. Course maps are provided by the organizer.
Historically part of Palisade Peach Fest, the race was moved to the Saturday before Peach Fest to reduce its impact on town services and to reduce demands on police and fire personnel during the busy weekend. In 2025 the event raised over $10,000 for the Town of Palisade, with $7,386 allocated to the Police and Fire Departments and $2,620 to the Palisade Lions Club.
