Just Peachy 5K & 10K
The Grand Junction Sports Commission presents the Just Peachy community runs in Palisade on August 15, 2026. The event offers a mix of race distances and family-focused activities presented by Community Hospital.

Packet pick-up is scheduled in the days leading up to the event at Grand Valley Primary Care in Palisade and at Veteran's Memorial Park on race day. Kids do not need to register for the 1 km or 100-meter dash; parents or guardians sign a waiver before their children participate.
Historically the race has been part of Palisade Peach Fest. Organizers moved the event to the Saturday before Peach Fest to reduce impact on the town and to ease demands on local police and fire departments so those services can continue without added strain.
Registration for the main races includes an event t-shirt, a finisher's medal, peaches, access to Peach Fest, and admission to the Palisade Lions Club pancake breakfast. Recent fundraising totals exceeded $10,000, with $7,386 allocated to local police and fire departments and $2,620 given to the Palisade Lions Club.
