Grand Valley Oncology - Life In Color 5K
The Life in Color 5K is a charity event presented by Grand Valley Oncology in Grand Junction, Colorado on 06/06/2026. Proceeds support the Gas & Lodging program, which provides travel assistance and lodging for out of town patients seeking oncology care.
The event offers two options on the same course: a timed 5K with a timing chip on the bib, and an untimed Fun Run/Walk without a bib. The course is approximately 5K (3.1 Miles) and consists of three and a half loops around the perimeter of the Community Hospital. Surfaces include road, sidewalk, and gravel path.
Participants will pass through showers of food grade colored powder at points along the route. Organizers recommend wearing white clothing to make the colors show, and using sunglasses or bandanas to protect eyes and mouth. The powder generally washes out, but participants are advised to expect staining on clothing.
Registration fee is $35 for regular registration. Late and on day registration is $45 and will be available on race day. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday 06/05/2026 in the Grand Valley Oncology downstairs lobby. The start location is the Adventure Academy parking lot; parking is available across the street or in the gravel lot just west of Adventure Academy.
