Jurassic Jog 5K
Jurassic Jog 5k is a community run/walk that takes place at the Oviedo Mall food court area in Oviedo, Florida. The event starts and finishes at the same location near Oviedo Mall Boulevard, with plentiful free parking adjacent to the race site.
Event distances include:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Kids Fun Run (100 meters)
Registration fees listed by the organizer are $25.00 for the 5K and $5.00 for the kids run. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who complete pre-registration and payment at least seven weekdays before the race; shirts are not guaranteed on race day and may sell out.
Packet pickup is available before race day at Front Running Sports, 1061 S Sun Dr, Lake Mary, FL 32746, during scheduled pickup hours. Race-day packet pickup will take place at the race site. Timing uses a disposable chip attached to the back of the bib; official times require use of the provided chip and a finish line clock is available.
Amenities and policies noted by the organizer include an on-course water station and water at the finish, qualified medical personnel at the start/finish, allowance of dogs and strollers (strollers should start toward the back), a strict no-transfer policy for entries, no refunds, and a rain-or-shine policy.
Awards include medals for top overall male and female and awards for the top three male and female finishers in age groups that range from 10 & under through 90+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
