Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge : event details
The Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge takes place on 16-17 May 2026 along the Dorset Jurassic Coast. The main route starts in Corfe Castle and finishes in Bridport, with scenic sections that include Swanage, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Weymouth, Portland Bill, Chesil Beach, and West Bay. The event offers multiple distance options and formats, including single-day and two-day choices, looped and point-to-point routes, and optional camping at the halfway base in Weymouth.
Distances, climbing and on-course support
- 100 km - ~2300 m climb, Corfe Castle to Bridport
- 75 km (3/4) - 76 km & ~1800 m climb, Corfe Castle to Bridport
- ~50 km (1st Half) - 58 km & ~1700 m climb, Corfe Castle to Weymouth
- ~42 km (2nd Half / Weymouth Marathon) - 42 km & ~600 m climb (Weymouth to Bridport)
- Weymouth Trail Marathon - 42 km & ~1100 m elevation, loop from Weymouth
- ~34 km (2nd Quarter) - 34 km & ~1110 m elevation, Corfe Castle to Weymouth
- ~25 km (1st Quarter) - 25 km & ~570 m elevation, Corfe Castle loop to Swanage and back
- 10 km - Bridport 10K loop & ~256 m elevation
Rest stops are provided approximately every 12.5 km, with major stops about every 25 km. Facilities include marquee-covered rest areas, meals at 25 km intervals, snacks, energy drinks, medical and massage teams, podiatry help, route signing with pink arrows and GPS tracking, timing scans at rest stops, camping packages, shuttle transfers, and finish-line kit (medal, finisher T-shirt, finishers meal). New entry categories for 2026 include Ultra March and Trailblazerz for walkers and faster competitive runners. Registration is open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
