Event Details
The Jungle Jim's 5K Splash is the fifth event in the Seashore Striders Championship Series. It offers two event options: a 5k Run/Walk and a 5k Walk. Both events are held on the same day and start from the same location.
Course and Location
The race begins and finishes at Jungle Jim's Water Park, located at 36944 Country Club Road in Rehoboth, Delaware. The course is described as flat and follows an out-and-back route through the Country Club of Rehoboth Beach development.
Registration and Fees
Early registration is $30. The price increases to $35 after June 21 and to $40 for race-day registration. Participants registered by June 22 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Registration is available online or by mail using a downloadable form from the organizer's website.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at a New Balance store on Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach.
Charitable Cause
Proceeds from the event benefit the Children's Beach House of Lewes, in honor of the late Derrick Lingo.
Awards and Post-Race
Awards are presented in multiple categories, including overall male and female champions, masters champions (40+), and the top three male and female finishers in 16 age groups. The awards ceremony takes place after the race. Post-race, participants have access to the water park's lazy river and one ride until 9:30 AM.
