Juneteenth Freedom Run/Walk - Fresno, CA
The Juneteenth Freedom Run/Walk takes place June 1 to June 19, 2026, with in-person race activities on June 13, 2026 at Woodward Park in Fresno, California. The event includes live and virtual participation and operates from the Fort Washington and Friant entrance area; park admission is paid at the kiosk.

All participants in live and virtual races receive a technical shirt and a finisher medal. Live race participants also receive a goodie bag and are eligible for placement trophies; cash prizes are offered for breaking course records. Age group awards are given to the top three men and top three women in multiple age categories. The 5 Mile race is a 20-point event in the Central Valley Runner of the Year series.
Proceeds fund scholarships for college bound youth. The event is partnering with a local fraternity chapter to launch four scholarships funded by race profits; scholarship applications are available from April 1, 2026 through April 30, 2026.
Additional amenities include hydration along the course and a pancake breakfast. Free training sessions start in mid April 2026 at local parks on weekday and weekend evenings and mornings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
