About the race
The Jump Off Rock Half Marathon, 10K and 5K takes place in Hendersonville, North Carolina on May 8, 2027. The event is presented by Hunter Subaru and UNC Health Pardee and includes a race expo and artisan market the day before at Continuum Art from 3PM to 7PM.
The half marathon is a point to point course that begins at Jump Off Rock, the Town of Laurel Park’s highest peak, and descends for seven miles before joining the 10K near the Hendersonville Family YMCA. The 5K and 10K start together at the YMCA; the 5K follows the 10K route briefly before branching back through neighborhood streets. All three courses finish on Main Street in historic downtown Hendersonville.

All courses are USATF sanctioned and certified (Sanction Number #142687; Half Marathon NC23011DF; 10K NC23012DF; 5K certification pending). Timing uses MyLaps chip timing. The half marathon has four water stations, the 10K has two, and the 5K has one; each station provides water and Gatorade. Other event features include complimentary participant shuttles, a custom commemorative finisher medal, custom race shirts with an April 11 registration deadline for the included shirt, locally sourced awards and increased cash prizes for the overall top three male and female 10K winners. A post race party will include live music, local vendors and a complimentary beer for those 21 and older. A virtual race option is offered and transfers, deferrals and distance changes are described in the event policies. Strollers are not permitted in races and dogs may attend as spectators only.
