Jump Off Rock Half Marathon & 10K
The Jump Off Rock event in Hendersonville, North Carolina, offers a point-to-point half marathon and a 10K that travel through neighborhoods, around Lake Osceola, and finish on Main Street in historic Hendersonville. The half marathon begins at Jump off Rock and descends for several miles, passing the start of the 10K course.
Both courses are USATF sanctioned and certified (Sanction Number #142687; Half Marathon NC23011DF; 10K NC23012DF) and are chip timed with clearly marked and supported routes. The half marathon has four fully stocked water stations and the 10K has two; each station provides Gatorade, water, and JAMBARS. Timing uses the MyLaps system with a timing chip on the race bib and timing mats along the course and at the finish.
Event features include complimentary shuttles for participants, a commemorative finisher medal, a custom race shirt option before the stated deadline, locally sourced awards, and a post-race party with live music, local vendors, and a complimentary beer for 21 and older. An Artisan Market and Race Expo at Continuum Art takes place the day before and includes packet pickup. A virtual race option is available and virtual participants receive event apparel and finisher items by mail.
Strollers are not permitted on either course. Dogs may attend as spectators but may not participate in the race. The event owner may convert in-person registrations to the virtual option if necessary; refunds are not provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
