Jump off Rock Half Marathon

Event

The Jump Off Rock Half Marathon and 10K is a spring road race in Laurel Park and Hendersonville, North Carolina. Distances offered:

• 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
• 6.2 miles (10K)

The half marathon is presented by Hunter Subaru and the 10K is presented by UNC Health Pardee. The event includes a pre-race Artisan Market and packet pickup the day before, a commemorative finisher medal, a dri-fit event shirt (available until the registration deadline), complimentary shuttles for participants, chip timing, post-race music and vendors, and a complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over. A virtual option is available; virtual participants receive the event shirt and finisher item by mail. The 10K awards cash prizes to the overall top three male and female finishers: $100, $75, and $50. Strollers are not permitted on course; dogs may attend as spectators but may not run.

Course and logistics

The point-to-point half marathon starts at Jump Off Rock, a national landmark and Laurel Park’s highest peak, and descends several miles toward downtown Hendersonville. The 10K begins at the Hendersonville Family YMCA and joins the half marathon route partway through. Both routes pass neighborhood sections and Lake Osceola and finish on Main Street in historic Hendersonville. The half marathon has four fully stocked water stations and the 10K has two; each station will offer Gatorade, water, and JAMBARs. Both courses are USATF sanctioned and certified (Sanction #142687; Half: NC23011DF; 10K: NC23012DF). Timing uses a chip system with timing mats and live results.
