JP5K & Fun Run
The JP5K & Fun Run takes place on March 13, 2027, at Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School in Dumfries, VA. The event supports the Special Services Department at the school.

The 5K course starts at the gym entrance, follows River Heritage Blvd, continues on Potomac Shores Parkway to a designated turnaround, and returns to the start/finish on the JP track. The Fun Run begins by the gym entrance and circles the all purpose field.
Registration details note a base fee of $30 for early bird registration and $35 after October 15, with multi-person discounts available. The registration fee includes a white short-sleeve cotton T-shirt; a black long-sleeve moisture-wicking T-shirt is available for an additional $10. Registrations received after October 15 are not guaranteed a T-shirt by race day.
Race packets are available for pick-up at the school on the Thursday and Friday before the event from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and packets are also available on race day. Mailed packets may be requested for out-of-area participants, though delivery by race day is not guaranteed.
Fundraising is part of the event, with prizes available for top fundraisers. A student house participation challenge will award points based on participation. A pancake breakfast hosted by the National Honor Society follows the 5K, with donations benefiting Special Services. A 50-50 raffle will be held with tickets sold at tiered prices, and virtual participants may submit results online. Volunteers are needed for the event.
