Joshua Sampson Memorial 5K with Virtual Option

This event takes place on Saturday February 7, 2026, in Athens, GA, at Sandy Creek Park Pavilion #2 (400 Bob Holman Road, 30605). The race honors the legacy and memory of Joshua Sampson and notes his interest in music and dedication to education.

The Sandy Creek Park 5K course is USATF certified (GA19034DJ). Race day includes on-site registration and packet pickup, and awards are presented after the event. Virtual participants may run their 3.1 miles anywhere, record their time, and submit results to the event results page. Virtual runners are not eligible for race day awards. Event shirts for virtual entrants must be picked up from Fleet Feet or on race day.

Entry fee for each event is listed as $30 and registration closes February 4, 2026 at 11:59pm EST. Awards are given to Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and in five-year age groups from 10 and under through 80 and over.
