The Event

Jordan's Run the Runway 5K is a 5 km event held on the runway of the St. Thomas Municipal Airport. Presented by Siskinds LLP, it is a fundraiser for the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, celebrating the life and legacy of Jordan Strickland. All funds raised support YMCA camps, programs, and services within the local St. Thomas-Elgin community.

The event features two distances:

5 km: A flat and fast certified course, chip-timed. Participants can run, walk, roll, or pole. Strollers are welcome.
Kiddie Trot 1 km: A non-timed run for children.

A virtual participation option is available.

Event Schedule

The event takes place on Friday, June 5, 2026. The schedule includes bib pick-up, the Kiddie Trot, the 5K race, and a reception with food and drinks in the airport hangar. An awards presentation concludes the evening. It is a rain or shine event.

Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. This event is part of a series of four similar runway runs in the region. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
