Jokers Wild Run For Rescues
Jokers Wild Run For Rescues is a charity running event in Pine Mountain, Georgia, held at Doggone Good Treasures, 102 Commerce Street. The event offers a 5K and a 1 mile run or walk on the completely paved Man O' War Trail. The course is described as very flat and both the start and finish are in downtown Pine Mountain.
The 5K includes a playing card handed out at each kilometer and a finish card that participants fill out and staple to their five playing cards; jokers are wild. Overall and age group awards are determined by the best poker hands. 5K age group awards cover from 10 and under up to 70 and over in five year age groups. Ribbons are given to all finishers in the fun run and walk.
A clock will run for participants who want to see their times, but recorded time does not affect finishing place. Postrace fluids and snacks are provided. A virtual or phantom runner category is available for supporters who cannot attend in person; for an additional seven dollars the event will mail a race shirt to the virtual participant.
