Jokers Wild Run For Rescues
The event is the second annual Jokers Wild Run For Rescues, a charity run and walk benefiting The Humane Society of Harris County. The course is centered in downtown Pine Mountain, GA, with the listed venue Doggone Good Treasures at 102 Commerce Street and uses the fully paved Man O' War Trail. The 5K course is described as very flat.
Distances offered:
- 5K run/walk on the paved Man O' War Trail
- 1 Mile run/walk
The 5K includes a playing card at each kilometer and a finish card that is combined with the five playing cards to form poker hands; Jokers are wild. Overall and age group awards are determined by the best poker hands. 5K age groups run from 10 and under to 70 and over in five-year increments. A separate fun run/walk provides ribbons to all finishers. A clock will be available for participants who want to view their time, though time does not affect place of finish. Postrace refreshments include fluids and snacks.
