Event Overview
The Iron Horse 5k is a 5 km out-and-back race that takes place on the Man O' War Railroad Recreation Trail in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The course starts at Highway 354 and heads south towards Callaway Gardens.
Event Details
The event has two entry types: the standard Iron Horse 5k and the Iron Horse 5k Phantom Runner. Participants in the standard event receive a commemorative beanie.
Registration for the standard race is $35 and ends on February 19, 2026. A cash prize of $150 is awarded to the first overall male and first overall female finishers.
All proceeds from the event go directly to the Pine Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.
Logistics
The race starts and is based at the Iron Horse Grill, located at 5700 SR-354 in Pine Mountain. Packet pickup is available on the morning of the race, directly in front of this location. Ample parking is available in the large lot in front of the Iron Horse Grill.
