About the race
The event is the 15th annual Sausage, Gravy and Biscuits 5K held on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026, at 64 Letts Avenue, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. It is organized as a community event with running, walking, and a post-race home-cooked breakfast featuring sausage gravy and biscuits and homemade cinnamon rolls. The event is presented at a residential location that began as a small local Turkey Trot in 2011.

There is no entry fee; participants are asked to make a donation that works for them. Donations can be given as gift cards, cash, or check at the event, or online during registration. All donated funds and items are allocated to local families in need. Proceeds for 2026 will be donated to Angel Works, an organization that supports families facing childhood cancer. In 2025 the event raised over $6,000 in gift cards and cash that were donated to Angel Works. The event is described as family oriented and includes options for running, jogging, sprinting, or walking; spectators are also welcome to join the breakfast.
