The event benefits the John Wayne Cancer Foundation and includes fundraising activities and a designated Fundraising Week in late September to early October. Early bird pricing offers discounted entry through specified dates, and registration closes in mid October.

Each participant receives one free museum admission by presenting their bib at packet pickup. Finishers receive a participant shirt and a finisher mug; podium prizes are awarded to the top three women and top three men in each course.
