The Wild Wild West Marathon & Ultra is a trail race in Lone Pine, California held on May 1, 2027. The event passes through the Alabama Hills and the foothills of Mt. Whitney and includes ten water stops or aid stations along the course. Organizers note that this is the third oldest trail marathon in the United States and that the Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce has hosted the event for 46 years.

The Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce operates the event under permit on the Inyo National Forest. Local volunteers and chamber staff support race operations. A race manual and course information are provided; a 2026 race manual is available.
Registration closes on Mon, Apr 26, 2027. Published entry fees range from USD 66.25 to USD 141.95. The event policy states no refunds will be given; entrants who withdraw up to 30 days before the race may receive a 50% credit toward next year’s UltraSignUp registration fee. If the event is canceled for reasons such as pandemic, extreme weather, or other force majeure, neither refunds nor credits will be given. The final route is subject to approval by government agencies and may change. Late entrants within three weeks of the race may not receive a t shirt; same day registration is accepted at the start.
