About the race
Wild Wild West Marathon & Ultra is a trail running event in Lone Pine, California scheduled for May 1, 2027. The event has been hosted by the Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce for 46 years and is presented as one of the oldest trail marathons in the United States.
The courses run through the Alabama Hills and the foothills of Mt. Whitney. Ten water stops or aid stations are placed along the route. The Lone Pine community provides volunteer support and Lone Pine Chamber staff and board members assist with race operations. The Chamber operates under permit on the Inyo National Forest.

Registration details and policies published for the event include a registration closing date of Mon, Apr 26 at 11:59 PM PT and a listed fee range from USD 66.25 to USD 141.95. The event policy states no refunds will be given; entrants who withdraw up to 30 days before the race may receive a 50% credit toward next year’s event registration. If the event is canceled due to pandemic, extreme weather, community disaster, or other force majeure, neither refunds nor credits will be given.
