John Andrews Memorial 5K
The John Andrews Memorial 5K is a fundraising event organized by the Eastern Trail Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and maintenance of the Eastern Trail greenway in southern Maine. This event honors the founder of the Eastern Trail and supports the ongoing mission to maintain and expand the trail network.
The event takes place in Saco, Maine, with the course located on the Eastern Trail. Participants complete a timed 5 km (3.1 mile) route that functions as a trail run or walk. The race begins and ends at the Mill Brook Industrial Park, specifically utilizing the area at Maine Molecular for parking and event logistics.

Registration is open to various age groups with specific categories for adults, students aged 13 to 17, and youth aged 12 and under. Participants who register by May 2nd receive a technical t-shirt. Youth participants aged 12 and under receive a medal upon finishing the course. An awards ceremony follows the event to recognize top finishers.
