Joe's Night Run At The Hamptons
Joe's Night Run at The Hamptons is an all night endurance event held on the paved cart paths of The Hamptons Golf Course in Hampton, VA. The course is a 4.4 mile loop that starts and finishes in the parking lot in front of The Hamptons Clubhouse. The first section is a counterclockwise loop around nine holes called The Woods, followed by a clockwise loop around nine holes called The Links. The course will be marked with glow sticks and turn signs.
Distances and formats available:
- 11 hour run
- 11 hour ruck
- 5 hour run
- 5 hour ruck
- 4.4 mile one loop
Runners will be counted manually by calling out their bib number to lap counters. A shortened 2.4 mile loop around The Woods is allowed on a final lap, and a marked path permits adding a few tenths of a mile for milestones. A fully stocked aid station will provide primarily pre packaged items. Portable restrooms will be available in the parking lot and on course between holes 5 and 6 on both The Woods and The Links.
The course passes the parking area on every loop, allowing crewing directly from a parked car. All participants must carry a lighting device for the dark cart paths. Ruckers must carry 30 lbs if they weigh 150 lbs or more, and 20 lbs if under 150 lbs; exceptions can be requested from the race director.
