Joe's Night Run at The Hamptons
Joe's Night Run at The Hamptons is an all-night endurance event held on the paved cart paths of The Hamptons Golf Course in Hampton, VA. The event uses a 4.4-mile loop that runs from and returns to the parking lot in front of The Hamptons Clubhouse. The loop passes through two sections called The Woods and The Links and is marked with glow sticks and turn signs.
Available race options include:
- 11-hour race
- 11-hour RUCK
- 5-hour race
- 5-hour RUCK
- 4.4 Miler
The event is cart-path-only and the path is wide enough for about three people side by side. The course includes small hills. Runners may take a shorter marked 2.4-mile loop around The Woods on their final lap or use a marked path to add a few tenths of a mile for milestones.
This is a manual lap count event; participants report their bib number to lap counters. A fully stocked aid station will be available with primarily pre-packaged items. The parking lot location makes self-crewing practical since participants pass their cars on every lap. Portable restrooms will be provided in the parking lot and at two on-course locations.
All participants must carry a lighting device. Ruckers must meet required weights of 30 lbs for those 150 lbs or more and 20 lbs for those under 150 lbs, with exceptions possible by request. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
