Joe's Night Run at The Hamptons
Joe's Night Run at The Hamptons is an overnight endurance event held on the paved cart paths of The Hamptons Golf Course in Hampton, VA on September 26, 2026. The event uses a marked 4.4-mile loop that starts and finishes in the parking lot in front of the clubhouse and stays on cart paths only.
Distances and formats include:
- 11-hour race and ruck.
- 5-hour race and ruck.
- 4.4-mile single-loop option.
- 2.4-mile short loop available on the final lap.
The course runs around two nine-hole sections called The Woods and The Links and is marked with glow sticks and turn signs. The path width allows about three people side by side and includes several small hills that may become more noticeable as the event progresses.
Logistics include manual lap counting at lap counters, a fully stocked aid station with primarily pre-packaged items, and portable restrooms in the parking lot and at two on-course locations. The layout permits easy self-crewing from parked vehicles. All runners must carry a lighting device for the dark cart paths. Required rucking weights are 30 lbs for participants 150 lbs or more and 20 lbs for those under 150 lbs.
Finishers receive a finisher item and a homemade medal; top three women and men in each category are acknowledged and winners receive bonus finisher items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
