The event is the 34th running of the Joe Koziarz 5K Run/Walk, held on July 18, 2026 at Westhampton Beach Village Marina in Westhampton Beach, NY. The program includes an in-person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K option that allows self-timed participation with online time submission during the event window.
Packet pickup and race day registration take place the morning of the event at the marina. Participants who register at least three weeks before race day can have their name printed on their bib, and qualifying registrations are guaranteed a t-shirt by June 18. Virtual entries may receive mailed bibs and shipped items within a shipping window that spans before and after the event.
Awards are presented to the top three men and women overall and to the top three men and women in the following age groups: 12 and under; 13–15; 16–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70–79; 80–89; 90 and over.
A runner’s raffle with donated prizes is held after the awards ceremony for pre-registered participants. Race proceeds benefit local organizations, including Southampton Town PAL and the Koziarz Hurricane Scholarship Fund, among other local charities.
