Twinkle Toes 5K

Event
The 15th Annual Twinkle Toes event takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Star, North Carolina (302 S. Main Street, 27356). The program includes two races:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Uwharrie Dash (formerly Vac & Dash staff from Albemarle) will provide race timing.
Registration and logistics
Early bird registration rates apply through November 30: the 5K is $25 and the 1 Mile is $20. Standard rates after November 30 are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile. Event registration for the listed events closes December 10, 2025. Entrants registered by November 30 are guaranteed a t-shirt.
Packet pickup is at Star Elementary School Gym on December 12 (afternoon pick-up) and there is additional packet pick-up on race day at the school. Each registered participant receives a bag with a t-shirt and other items. There is no extra charge for strollers. Dogs and pets are not allowed. Bandit runners are prohibited and will be removed by law enforcement if necessary.
Course and awards
Both races use a residential course in the town of Star, starting and ending at Star Elementary School on Cotton Creek Road. Water stations are located at the 1- and 2-mile markers and at the finish line. Awards are given immediately after the race: overall male and female 1st–3rd, and male and female 1st–3rd in age categories (9 & under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+).
