Jessica's Heroes 5K Run/Walk in Oneida NY
This annual community 5K run and walk takes place in Allen Park in Oneida, New York on September 19, 2026. The event is organized to support people battling cancer and to honor survivors and those who have been lost to the disease.
The event is named in honor of a local woman who lost her battle with breast cancer at age 34 and reflects her history of advocacy and support for others facing treatment. A commemorative ceremony will recognize survivors, those currently battling cancer, and those who have passed; names may be spoken and a bell rung as part of the observance.
Additional activities include a Kid's Fun Run for children 12 and under and a virtual mini fun run or walk offered earlier in the summer as part of a combined entry option. Team registration and sponsor pages are available for participants who wish to form or join teams.
Event proceeds benefit local cancer patients who live in Madison or Oneida County or who receive treatment at regional cancer centers in Oneida or Verona. Organizers report having helped over 1,260 people to date. Packet pick up will be a drive‑thru pickup with the date to be announced; a free event T shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by August 23, 2026.
