Cazenovia Preservation Foundation Turkey Trot
The Cazenovia Preservation Foundation Turkey Trot is a family friendly running event held on Thanksgiving morning on the Gorge Trail in Cazenovia, NY. Courses run out and back on a gravel converted rail trail, with the same start location for both distances.
Distances
- 5K out and back on a gravel converted rail trail.
- 1 mile Fun Run Walk out and back on a gravel converted rail trail.
The event uses professional chip timing and features separate courses with staggered starts for the two distances. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each category: Men, Women, and Youth.
Registration opens on September 15 and closes on November 25. Fees are listed as $22 for CPF members, $27 for non members, $35 for day of registration for participants ages 13 and up, and free for children aged 12 and under.
Additional notes: there are no bathroom facilities at the trail head, and dogs and strollers are not permitted on the trail during the event. Costumes are encouraged and the event will collect non perishable food items for Caz Cares. Parking is available at Burton Street Elementary School, 37 Burton Street, and the Clark Street bridge will be closed during the event.
