Jersey Shore Half Marathon - Shore Athletic Club
The Jersey Shore Half Marathon is organized by the Shore Athletic Club and takes place at Gateway National Recreation Area, commonly known as Sandy Hook Park in Highlands, New Jersey. The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026, and has a capacity of 800 participants. A virtual option is available.

The course is described as flat and fast. All entrants receive a long sleeve race shirt and a completion medal. Post-race refreshments are provided. Pacers are listed for estimated finish times of 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30. Cash awards are given to the top three male and female finishers, with additional age group awards.
Pre-race activities include a shake out run at Outpost Running and Walking Co. and bib pick up at the same location for pre-registered participants; race day bib pick up is at the Sandy Hook Park Lifesaving Station. Event photography and finish photos are available after the race.
A combined registration and training plan is offered for an additional fee; the program includes an initial phone consultation, weekly individualized training emails, one in-person session, and an individualized race plan.
