Java Jolt 5K Run/Walk
The Java Jolt 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for April 18, 2026, at 4400 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN. The event program includes a chip-timed 5K, a Family One Mile Walk, and multiple Kids Little Dove Dash races for young children. Strollers are permitted in the 5K and the 1-mile walk. Animals are not allowed on the course except support animals. Children age 5 and under may have one parent accompany them on the course as a safety precaution.
Event logistics include east lot and the parking lot next to Wendy's for parking. The 5K course follows S. Congress Ave., John St., and S. Stockwell Rd., enters the State Hospital grounds for a loop, and returns to finish on S. Congress Ave. The 1-mile course is an out-and-back along S. Congress Ave. with a marked half-mile turnaround. Packet pickup is at Dove and Twig Cafe on February 28 and there is race day packet pick up at Dove and Twig. 5K registrants receive a t-shirt and a medal; 1-mile and Kids Dash registrants receive a t-shirt. Awards include overall 5K male and female, age-group placings, and top finishers in the Kids Dash divisions. The event is rain or shine; entries are non-refundable.
