The Java Jog 5K/10K takes place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Rock Creek Park, 445 Martin Rd, Dawsonville, GA 30534. The event includes in-person and virtual options and multiple entry types. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Espresso Challenge (5K + 10K = 15K total)
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 10K
- Virtual Espresso Challenge
Entry fees vary by registration period. Shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by 01/14; afterwards shirts are available while supplies last. Only the first 200 registered participants will receive a finisher medal.
Course, results and services
The 5K is a certified out-and-back course; 10K participants run the 5K course twice. Chip timing will be used. Water stations are provided at approximately every 1.5 miles. Awards will be given for Top 3 Overall male/female and for multiple overall age categories including Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Masters, and Top 3 in 5-year age groups from 10 & under through 80+.
Virtual participants can submit results through their RunSignUp profile until the end of race day; virtual packages are shipped the Monday after the event. The RaceJoy app will be available for GPS progress alerts, live tracking, and send-a-cheer features; participants must carry their phone and activate tracking to use RaceJoy. Volunteer recruiters who meet the stated conditions are eligible to receive a $50 Visa gift card after the event. Registrations are final; there are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
