James Island Connector Run
The James Island Connector Run is a road running event in Charleston, South Carolina on October 17, 2026. The course begins and ends on James Island near Folly Road and uses the James Island Connector, staying on the connector with no exit ramps.
The event offers the following distances:
- 8K Run
- 5K Run or Run/Walk
- 5K Walk ONLY
The course is a USATF certified out-and-back route that overlooks the Ashley River and the historic downtown peninsula of Charleston. A post-race festival at the finish includes finisher medals and food.
Awards are presented to top finishers and across age groups for the runs. The 5K walk has awards for the top three male and top three female walkers. All participants receive a finisher's medal. Race shirts are distributed with registration and preferred sizes may not be available for late registrants.
Packet pick up is offered on the Thursday before the race at Fleet Feet Mount Pleasant and on race day at the base of the connector on James Island; participants may pick up packets for others. The James Island Connector will be closed to traffic for the event and will reopen no later than 12 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
