Jamaco River Run
The Jamaco River Run takes place in Merrimac, Massachusetts, marking its 10th anniversary in 2026. The event is centered at Waterhouse Field on East Main Street and features road racing opportunities for various age groups. Participants can utilize free on-site parking available at the venue.
The event offers two primary distances:
- 5K (3.2 miles) Run/Walk
- 1K Kids Fun Run (7 years and under)
The 5K course is USATF certified and sanctioned. Registration for the event includes a specific window for the 5K and the youth race. The first 200 people to register for the event receive a custom commemorative t-shirt. Additionally, registered participants aged 21 and over are eligible for a complimentary beer.
A post-race celebration follows the athletic events at Waterhouse Field. This gathering includes a music performance, a craft beer tent, and a food selection featuring burgers and hot dogs. The afternoon also includes an awards ceremony, a prize raffle, and dedicated activities for children. The organizers use the event proceeds to support the local community.
