Jacks Valley Trail Rally : Carson City, NV
Jacks Valley Trail Rally is a trail running event organized by Ascent Runs at Jacks Valley Elementary School in Carson City, NV. The event offers multiple distances:
- 21K (14 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
The course uses fire roads and single track with some steep hills and sections of technical footing. The route provides views of Carson Valley and the surrounding mountains. The 21K course includes one aid station at about mile 7; the 5K and 10K have no aid stations.
This race is the second of three races in a new Fall Series and is a merger of previous local trail events. There are no finisher or division place awards for this event.
Participant logistics note that bibs are distributed on race morning at check-in. Dogs are not permitted on the courses because of sheep grazing for fuel reduction; dogs are allowed around the start and finish area but not out on the courses. Parking is available in the dirt lot north of the solar panel fencing; organizers ask participants to park in rows on the west side of the school.
Registration pricing varies by date: before 2026-10-09 the fees are 5K $30, 10K $30, 21K $35; after 2026-10-09 the fees are 5K $40, 10K $40, 21K $45.
