Jack & Paul's Fun Run 2026
Jack & Paul's Fun Run is held in Penistone, Sheffield, and raises money for Heads Together (Barnsley), a charity set up in memory of Jack and Paul Sykes to support local families who have suffered a serious loss or trauma. The event is a community fun run over a single 2 km distance on grass and the TransPennine Trail.
The course is one lap and is described as undulating. The route includes a small manned crossing over a stream that requires buggies to be carried across. Participants should consider this feature when assessing accessibility. The organiser lists an overall entry limit of 300 places and a race licence has been applied for.
Facilities at the race headquarters, Penistone Recreation Ground, include toilets and baggage storage. There will be no on-course water, no distance markers, no changing facilities, and no showers. Age provisions require that all children under seven are accompanied by a paying adult. Prizes are listed for the overall winner and age categories for boys and girls under 7, 8 to 11, and 12 to 18; a medal is provided to every entrant.
Entry fees range from £5.00 to £15.00, with family tickets available. If the event does not sell out, entry on the day may be offered for an additional £2.50. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
