Jack-O-Lantern 5K & 10K - 09/26/2026
The Jack-O-Lantern races take place at 64 Shelly Rd, at the Richland Township Fire & Rescue facility in Quakertown, PA. The 2026 event carries a 250th Anniversary of the United States theme.

Both courses run on the Upper Bucks Rail Trail with sections of packed gravel and a paved stretch through Richland Township Veterans Park. The start and finish are on the Rail Trail near the fire rescue building. The event is chip timed and results are professionally recorded.
Pumpkin Challenge details: for an additional $7 participants may select and carry a 2 to 5 lb pumpkin from the patch for the entire race and must return it intact to keep it and receive the Pumpkin Challenge finisher prize. No carrying devices are allowed. Participants under 10 are not eligible for the Pumpkin Challenge.
Entry fees vary by date and age group. Early period rates are $35 for adults 20 and older, $17.50 for ages 10 to 19, and free for under 10. Later periods increase to $40 and $20, then to $45 and $22.50 on race day; the Pumpkin Challenge add-on applies to either distance.
Amenities include shirts for all registrants, indoor restrooms and port-o-potties, and post-race food from local establishments. Packet pickup is available Friday 9/25 5:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday 6:30 to 7:50 am at the Richland Township Fire & Rescue building. Awards are given overall and by age groups, including top overall, top masters, and top three in each age group. Strollers are welcome and animals are not allowed on course.
The Knights of Columbus Quakertown and Richland Township Fire & Rescue present the race. Proceeds will be directed to Richland Township Fire & Rescue to help with the cost of one set of turnout gear, which can cost up to $15,000. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
