About the race
Jack-O-Lantern 5K & 10K takes place on September 26, 2026 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, at the Richland Township Fire & Rescue location (64 Shelly Rd). The 2026 event carries a 250th Anniversary of the United States theme throughout the race.

Both courses run on the Upper Bucks Rail Trail with sections through the paved Richland Township Veterans Park. The surface includes packed gravel on the rail trail and pavement through the park. Start and finish are located on the Upper Bucks Rail Trail near the Richland Township Fire & Rescue building. The event uses chip timing and official results will be provided.
The Pumpkin Challenge is an optional $7 add-on. Participants who choose it select a pumpkin weighing 2 to 5 lb from the patch, must carry the pumpkin for the entire race and return it intact, and may not use carrying devices. Runners under 9 years old are not eligible for the Pumpkin Challenge. Pumpkin Challengers receive a finisher prize and may keep their pumpkin if they complete the requirement.
Awards include overall and age-group recognitions, top female and male, top master female and male, and top three in each age group. Student pricing reduces or eliminates fees: ages 10 to 19 pay half the adult cost; children under 10 race free and receive a shirt but are not eligible for the Pumpkin Challenge. Packet pickup is available Friday evening and Saturday morning at the Richland Township Fire & Rescue building. Parking and a shuttle will be available from a nearby church; additional parking is at the fire company and along Nice Rd until lots fill or roads close for the event. Restrooms, port-o-potties, shirts, and free post-race food are provided. Strollers are welcome; animals are not allowed on course for runner safety.
