The It’s Okay if you’re NOT Okay 5K is a chip timed 5 kilometer run and walk that starts and finishes at Tucker’s Treehouse in Owensboro, Kentucky. The course is described as flat and fast. Packet pickup will be available at Tucker’s Treehouse on Friday, 9/18 from 10:00 to 18:00 and on race day 9/19 from 07:00 to 08:00. Registration opens 02/20/2026 at 09:00 and closes 04/06/2026 at 00:59; the listed registration fee is $20.00.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers within each age group, with separate overall male and female winners who are excluded from age group awards. Age groups include 9 years and under, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. T shirts and swag bags are available while supplies last.
Proceeds benefit Tucker’s Treehouse. The program offers free services to children and teens in the tri state area, focusing on grieving needs for ages 6 to 18. Services address grief from the death of a loved one and so called living loss situations, such as when a parent is incarcerated or living with active addiction.
