The 5K for Our Community
The 5K for Our Community is a fitness event held at John Prince Park in Lake Worth, Florida. The event takes place at the Eric Call Pavilion and follows a scenic course through the park grounds. Participants can choose from several participation options:
- 5K
- 5K Virtual
- 100-yard Kids Dash
The 5K event is open to both runners and walkers and features chip timing for all participants. The course includes a water station located at approximately the 1.5-mile mark. There is a one-hour time limit to complete the race. Runners in the 5K receive a finisher medal upon crossing the finish line and a race shirt, which must be collected during packet pickup.
Awards are presented to the top three finishers in five-year age group increments. For younger participants, a 100-yard Kids Dash is held separately. The event also offers a virtual participation option for those unable to attend in person.
On-site amenities include restrooms at the pavilion and free parking near the registration area. Due to safety and liability requirements, dogs are not permitted on the course.
