Event Details

The Ishpeming Township Fire Department is hosting the second annual ITFD Firefighter Memorial Run. This fundraising event takes place at Westwood High School in Ishpeming.

Distances and Formats

The event offers several formats:

5K (run on roads and singletrack trail)
First Responder 5K
Kids Fun Run (for participants aged 10 and under)
Virtual 5K
1 mile walk

The Kids Fun Run is held on the track before the other events. The 1 mile walk also takes place on the track.

Course and Logistics

The 5K route uses a mix of paved roads and a natural trail surface. The trail section contains rocks and roots.

Registration for all in-person events opens on March 1, 2026. Participants who register by May 15, 2026, receive a race t-shirt. First responders receive a discounted registration fee and a special event shirt.
