Islip Terrace Fire Dept “Heathers Helpers” 5K Run/Walk
The Islip Terrace Fire Dept “Heathers Helpers” 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for August 22, 2026 in Islip Terrace, New York. The event takes place at 264 Beaver Dam Rd., with activities held rain or shine. It features a main 5K Run/Walk and a Kids Fun Run for children age 10 and under.

Participants who register early may receive a personalized bib if registered three weeks in advance. The first 300 registrants are guaranteed a shirt, and finishers receive a medal. The event offers live online, email, and text results, free finish line photos, and same-day video and finish-line pictures. Podium awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers.
The course follows local streets in Islip Terrace and finishes at the Islip Terrace Fire Department headquarters. Road markers will direct runners along the route. Bib pickup is handled by event staff on race day, and last-minute registrants can receive a bib number by text shortly after registering.
