Islip Terrace Fire Dept “Heathers Helpers” 5K Run/Walk
This community event takes place in Islip Terrace, New York on August 22, 2026 at the Race Site, 264 Beaver Dam Rd. It is held rain or shine and is organized by the Islip Terrace Fire Dept and Heathers Helpers.

Amenities and participant services listed for the event include shirts guaranteed for the first 300 registrants, finisher medals, live online/text/email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for entrants who register three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is available starting one hour before the event; last-minute registrants may receive their bib number by text shortly after registering.
The course follows local streets and finishes at the ITFD Headquarters; it features a U-turn at the ITFD sub station. Awards are offered to the top four male and top four female overall finishers.
