Isle of Palms Connector Run and Walk for the Child
The Isle of Palms Connector Run and Walk for the Child is the event's 35th annual edition. The course begins on Isle of Palms, crosses the Connector into Mount Pleasant, and returns to the island. Participants pass views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway, coastal marshes, and local wildlife.
The event offers two distance options:
- 10K
- 5K
Both distances are available as a run or a walk and are open to participants of all ages and experience levels. The event is a 100 percent nonprofit effort that supports local organizations focused on the prevention of child abuse and the healing of children and families in the Charleston area. Over the past 35 years the race has returned more than $1.3 million to local charities, with a record $200,000 given in 2025.
After the race there is a family friendly post race festival that includes live music, free beer for attendees 21 and older, a kids area, local vendors, cash prizes, and an awards ceremony.
