Isle of Palms Connector Run and Walk for the Child
The Isle of Palms Connector Run and Walk for the Child is the 35th annual running and walking event held on JC Long Boulevard in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. The route crosses the Connector into Mount Pleasant and returns to the island, passing ocean views, the Intracoastal Waterway, marshes, and local wildlife.
Participants can choose between these distances:
- 10K
- 5K
The event offers both run and walk options and is open to participants of all ages and experience levels. It operates as a nonprofit fundraiser that supports local organizations focused on the prevention of child abuse and the healing of children and families in the Charleston area. Over the past 35 years the event has given back more than $1.3 million to local charities, and it recorded a $200,000 contribution in 2025.
A family-friendly post-race festival follows the event. The festival includes live music, a kids area, local vendors, cash prizes, and an awards ceremony. Free beer is available for attendees aged 21 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
