Island Ripple Run - Diamond Cove, Great Diamond Island, ME
The Island Ripple Run events take place on July 19, 2026, at Diamond Cove on Great Diamond Island and include a 4-mile road and trail race and a kids fun run. The 4-mile course circles Great Diamond Island, crosses the sandbar that links Great Diamond and Little Diamond Islands at low tide, goes around Little Diamond Island, and finishes on the north side of Great Diamond Island near the tent site. The route follows island roads and wooded paths and offers ocean views across Casco Bay.
The Kids Diamond Dash is a fun run for children aged 0 to 10. Races start and end on the historic parade ground at Diamond Cove and the course is marked for three age groups: Ripples (ages 0-4), ZipLiners (ages 5-7), and Diamonders (ages 8-10). All kids participants receive a race award.
Registration opens May 1, 2026, and closes May 31, 2026. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $20.00 for the Kids Diamond Dash and $30.00 for the Island Ripple Run. All proceeds from the race are directed to a scholarship fund administered by Rippleffect on neighboring Cow Island. Light refreshments will be provided after the races.
