Island Girl Triathlon and Duathlon
Island Girl is a women-only multisport event at Angel Lagoon in Dayton, Texas. The venue features white sand and palm tree-lined beaches and offers day admission to athletes as part of the entry. Athletes complete courses that combine swimming, biking and running in open water and on nearby roads and paths. All athletes receive a custom race bib and a technical shirt or singlet, and are eligible for age-group awards. Relay teams may compete in the sprint distance as teams of two or three. Entries include access to lagoon amenities and discounted admission for friends and family.

- Duathlon: 11 miles total
- Sprint Triathlon: 10.25 miles total
- Sprint Triathlon - Relay: sprint distance for teams
Course components listed for each event include:
- Sprint Triathlon: a 300 meter open water swim, an 8-mile bike and a run.
- Duathlon: a 1-mile run, an 8-mile bike and a run.
- Relay: teams of 2 to 3 share the sprint triathlon legs.
Age-group awards are offered for top finishers in the sprint, relay and duathlon categories, with multiple age brackets for individual events and top three team awards for relays. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
