Lake Houston BridgeFest 2027
Lake Houston BridgeFest began as a celebration of the opening of the Lake Houston Parkway bridge and continues as a community event that directs net proceeds to the Lake Houston Family YMCA and the Rotary Club of the Lake Houston Area.
The event has run for 35 years and brings hundreds of community members together for entertainment and organized run/walk activities that serve a range of ages.
The program includes a family festival and two chip-timed races: a 5K and a 1-mile run/walk. The 1-mile is described as a fun run and is listed as adaptive-friendly. Each participant in the 5K and 1-mile receives a custom bib, a finisher medal, and a BridgeFest race shirt.
Awards for the 5K include male and female overall, masters (40+), grand masters (60+), and top three male and female in standard age divisions from 10 & under through 70+. The 1-mile awards include male and female overall and male and female 10 and under.
Volunteers are welcomed for the event. Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels and include recognition during BridgeFest promotions and race day activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
