Irving Marathon
The Irving Marathon is a multi-distance race weekend held at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas (316 W Las Colinas Blvd, Irving, TX 75039). The event is USATF certified and promoted as a Boston Marathon qualifying course described as "Fast & Flat." It benefits the Irving Schools Foundation.
The course runs through downtown Las Colinas and features sections along the Las Colinas canals, Lake Carolyn, Water Street, the Las Colinas Mustangs, and Las Colinas Boulevard before returning to the Toyota Music Factory finish area. Race services include chip timing with a custom bib, live tracking and GPS progress alerts through RaceJoy, free professional race photos, gender-specific performance shirts, finisher medals, bag check, and street closures with traffic control.
Awards and competition features include cash prizes for top finishers in the marathon and half marathon, age group medals for all distances, team challenge awards for categories such as fastest team and best dressed team, and pacers for marathon and half marathon distances with multiple target finish times. A post race party at the Toyota Music Factory plaza offers food and beverage provisions and stage entertainment. Packet pickup takes place at local venues in the days before the race.
