Irving Frost Marathon

Event Overview

The Irving Frost Marathon is a USATF certified race that benefits the Irving Schools Foundation. It takes place in December in Irving, Texas, with the start and finish line at the Toyota Music Factory. The event includes multiple race distances: marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k. The marathon course is a Boston Marathon qualifying race.

Course and Location

The routes are described as fast and flat, running through the Las Colinas Urban Center and along the Campion Trail, with views of Lake Carolyn. The event is centrally located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, near DFW airport. Street closures and traffic control are provided by off-duty police officers.

Race Details

Participants receive a gender-specific performance shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a race bib with a timing chip. The first 1,000 registrants also get a free commemorative beanie. Professional photos are provided free of charge. The event uses live tracking with GPS progress alerts.

A post-race party is held on the Texas Lottery Plaza at the Toyota Music Factory, featuring live music, food, and beverages. A VIP upgrade package offers access to a private area with a brunch buffet, reserved seating, and private restrooms.

Awards and Perks

Cash prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers in the marathon and half marathon. Age group awards are given for all distances. A team challenge is available with trophies for the fastest team, the team with the most participants, and the best-dressed team. Pacers are provided for the marathon and half marathon distances.

Registration and Logistics

Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at the Omni Las Colinas Hotel. Paid parking is available at the Urban Towers Parking Garage.
