IronPooch Challenge - Bolton Valley, Vermont
The IronPooch Challenge is a dog friendly trail running event held at Bolton Valley Resort in Richmond, Vermont on October 3, 2026. The event offers two trail distances that start and finish in the same area. Dogs are welcome on every course. Distances include:
- 10K approximately 5–6 miles long course
- 5K approximately 2–3 miles short course
Courses run across a mix of terrain, including mountain trails, grassy ski trails, single-track trails, and dirt or gravel utility roads. The 10K course features a moderate elevation profile and a water and aid station positioned approximately halfway along the route. Both courses may include light or mild obstacles.
Human and canine medical staff will be positioned on course for safety. The 5K is described as an approachable short course that uses similar trail types as the 10K.
