Event Information
The IronMed 5K is a charity race organized by Georgetown University School of Medicine, benefiting the student-run HOYA Clinic. The clinic provides free healthcare services, regardless of immigration or insurance status.
The event takes place in person at Fletcher’s Boathouse on the Capital Crescent Trail in Washington, DC. A virtual race option is also available. The course is an out-and-back route on a paved, flat trail with no major elevation gains.
Runners receive an event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before April 1. The event is chip-timed, and live results will be posted online.
Registration & Fees
Registration fees vary:
- 5k (virtual): $25
- 5k (Georgetown student): $30
- 5k (non-student): $40
Prices increase by $5 on race morning. There is no on-site race registration.
Series & Awards
Race points count towards the organizer's Year-Long 5k, Back of the Pack, and Spring series. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the first male and female junior (under 18 years old).
Race Day Details
Packet pickup is available at the event. One water station is located at the start/finish line. Restrooms are available near the registration area. The event follows an all-weather policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
