Ironbridge Half Marathon
The Ironbridge Half Marathon takes place on 21 March 2027 and is organised by Telford Harriers. The event starts and finishes at the QEII Arena in Telford Town Park, Hinkshay Road, Telford TF3 4EP. The course is a single lap, marked in miles, described as a down and up, multi-surface route.
The route runs through Telford Town Park and along the Silkin Way, passing Blists Hill Museum, the Coalport China Museum and the Severn Gorge. Runners follow the old Severn Valley Railway line past Maws Craft Centre and the Jackfield Tile Museum, cross the World Heritage Ironbridge and continue through Ironbridge town and along the River Severn before returning via Station Road, Coalbrookdale and Rough Park to the Silkin Way and the QEII Arena.
There are four water stations at approximately miles 3, 6, 9 and 11 with specific locations on the Silkin Way, Salthouse Road and School Road. Headphones are not permitted and using them may lead to disqualification. The event operates a three hour cut off; marshals and timekeepers will be withdrawn at the cut off.
On completion runners move through a finish funnel to collect a medal, T shirt, goody bag and postrace water. Prizes are available for age category winners. Transfers are allowed at a cost of £5. Refunds and deferrals are not offered. Early bird entry is listed at £32 until 1 September 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
