Ironbridge Half Marathon 2027
The Ironbridge Half Marathon takes place on 21 March 2027 and is organised by Telford Harriers. The event starts and finishes at the QEII Arena in Telford Town Park, Hinkshay Road, Telford TF3 4EP. Entry places are capped at 500 and the event status is listed as open.
The course is a one lap, down and up, multi-surface loop marked in miles. The route runs through Telford Town Park onto the Silkin Way, past Blists Hill Museum, Coalport China Museum and into the Severn Gorge. Runners follow the old Severn Valley Railway line past Maws Craft Centre and Jackfield Tile Museum, cross the Ironbridge, pass the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, then proceed via Station Road, Coalbrookdale and Rough Park back to the Silkin Way and the QEII Arena.
There are four water stations located on the course at approximately miles 3, 6, 9 and 11 with water also available for runners after they finish. Race marshals, signs and police instructions must be followed; marshals and timekeepers will be withdrawn once the event cut off is reached. Headphones are not permitted and wearing them will result in disqualification. On completion runners pass through a finish funnel to collect a medal, T shirt and goody bag. Prizes are awarded for age category winners. Refunds and deferrals are not offered; transfers are allowed for a fee of £5. Early pricing and discounted rates for affiliated club members apply.
