Ironbridge Half Marathon 2027
Organised by Telford Harriers, this event is a half marathon on 21 March 2027. The race starts and finishes at the QEII Arena in Telford Town Park, Hinkshay Road, Telford, TF3 4EP. The field is limited to 500 places and the event status is listed as open.
The course is a one lap, down and up multi surface loop marked in miles. The route runs through Telford Town Park and along the Silkin Way, past Blists Hill Museum and the Coalport China Museum into the Severn Gorge. Runners follow the old Severn Valley Railway line past Maws Craft Centre and the Jackfield Tile Museum, cross Coalport Bridge and the River Severn, pass over Ironbridge and through the town of Ironbridge, then continue via Station Road, Coalbrookdale and Rough Park before returning to the QEII Arena.
There are four water stations at miles 3, 6, 9 and 11 at the locations stated by the organiser. Competitors must follow race marshals, signs and any police instructions; there is a three hour cut off after which marshals and timekeepers will be withdrawn. Headphones are not allowed; wearing them may lead to disqualification.
On crossing the finish runners should keep moving through the finish funnel to collect a medal, T shirt and goody bag. Water will be available on completion and prizes are offered for age category winners. Refunds and deferrals are not available; transfers incur a £5 fee.
