Ironbridge Half Marathon
Organised by Telford Harriers, the Ironbridge Half Marathon takes place on 21 March 2027. The race starts and finishes at the QEII Arena in Telford Town Park, Hinkshay Road, Telford TF3 4EP. The course is a marked, one-lap loop measured in miles.
The route runs through Telford Town Park and along the Silkin Way, passing Blists Hill Museum and Coalport China Museum into the Severn Gorge. Runners follow the old Severn Valley Railway line past Maws Craft Centre and the Jackfield Tile Museum, cross the World Heritage Ironbridge, run alongside the River Severn through Ironbridge, then continue via Station Road, Coalbrookdale and Rough Park before returning to the QEII Arena.
There are four water stations located at miles 3, 6, 9 and 11. Headphones are not permitted; runners seen wearing them will be disqualified. Participants must follow instructions from race marshals, signage and any police directions. There is a cut-off time of three hours, after which marshals and timekeepers will be withdrawn.
On crossing the finish, runners should keep moving through the finish funnel to collect a medal, T-shirt and goody bag. Water will be available at completion and prizes are awarded for age category winners. Entry terms state no refunds or deferrals; transfers are allowed for a fee of £5.00. Early bird pricing was £32.00 until 4 October 2026, then £38.00. Total places are 500 and entries are listed as open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
