Ironbridge Half Marathon
The Ironbridge Half Marathon takes place on 22 March 2026 and is currently full with a waiting list. The event uses a one-lap loop that starts and finishes at the QEII Arena in Telford Town Park, and the course is marked in miles.
The route is described as a down-and-up, multi-surface course that runs through Telford Town Park and along the Silkin Way. Runners pass Blists Hill Museum, Coalport China Museum, the Severn Gorge, Maws Craft Centre, Jackfield Tile Museum and the Ironbridge, then continue through Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale and Rough Park before returning to the QEII Arena.
There are four water stations located at miles 3, 6, 9 and 11. The organisers request that runners follow marshals, signs and any police instructions; there is a three-hour cut-off after which marshals and timekeepers will be withdrawn. Wearing headphones is not permitted and may lead to disqualification.
On crossing the finish runners should keep moving through the finish funnel to collect a medal, T-shirt and goody bag. Water will be available after the race. Prizes are available for age category winners. Transfers between entries are allowed for a fee of £5. No refunds or deferrals are offered. The event has a total of 500 places.
