Ireland West Airport Charity Runway Fun Run 2026
The ninth annual charity 5k Runway Family Fun Run takes place at Ireland West Airport on 19 September 2026 in partnership with Portwest. The event is a run or walk held on the airport runway, with all proceeds donated to the event charity partners.
Charity partners for 2026 are Cancer Care West, Family Centre Castlebar, Liver Ireland Support Network, Mayo Mental Health Association, Pancreatic Cancer Ireland, and Sunflower Children’s Hospice.
Participants who register by 2pm on 18 September 2026 will receive a free commemorative runway run t shirt. These t shirts can be collected at the airport on the day of the event or on a date arranged before the event. T shirts are limited and subject to availability. A virtual participation option is available for those who cannot attend in person; postage and packaging charges apply for virtual entries that request t shirt delivery, or t shirts can be collected at the airport at no extra cost.
Online ticket sales run from 1 May 2026 until 18 September 2026. Published entry types and prices include adult entry €20, under 16s entry €5, family entry (2 adults and 2 children) €40, virtual entry with postage €23.95, and virtual entry without t shirt €20.
