Irchester Spooktacular
Irchester Spooktacular is a Halloween-themed night-time running event held at Irchester Country Park. The event uses woodland trails and tracks within the park, with two marked and marshaled routes. Marshals wear themed costumes and the course is fully marked.
The event offers these distances:
- 5k night-time run on woodland trails
- 2k Family Fun Run on woodland trails
Entry includes a finishers medal for all participants, free event photos, and a bag of Halloween-themed chocolates. Online entry prices are listed as £20 for the 5k and £12 for the 2k. Minimum age on race day is 11 years for the 5k and 4 years for the 2k. Children under 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event.
Support at the event includes professional first aid at the start and finish with access across the park, and Race Harborough volunteers on course. The surface is mostly hard packed track and is suitable for road or trail shoes. Because the runs take place after dark, participants are asked to bring a head torch or a small handheld torch.
