Irchester Spooktacular
Irchester Spooktacular is a Halloween themed night-time running event held at Irchester Country Park on Friday 30 October 2026. The event offers two marked and marshaled routes on established woodland trails and tracks, with marshals in costume.
Distances:
- 5k night-time race on woodland trails.
- 2k Family Fun Run on woodland trails.
Entry includes a finishers medal for all participants, a bag of Halloween themed chocolates, and free digital event photos. Entry fees stated are £20 for the 5k and £12 for the 2k. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event.
Minimum ages apply: 11 years for the 5k and 4 years for the 2k. Children under 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Participants are encouraged to wear fancy dress. The course surface is mostly hard packed track and is suitable for road or trail shoes. Because the event takes place at night, a head torch or small handheld torch is required.
Event support includes professional first aid at the start and finish and Race Harborough volunteers on course. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the 5k. The event supports local foodbanks and gives entrants the opportunity to make a donation to those charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
