IOL Purple Light Project 5K, Hartford CT
The Purple Light Project was created in 2020 to support behavioral health patients. It represents a commitment to provide round the clock assistance and expanded support across the behavioral health system. Funds raised through the 5K fund patient needs such as food vouchers, safe transportation to a support system residence, warm winter clothing, dignity and hygiene items, and other items used while patients are in treatment. One hundred percent of funds raised through the 5K go to patients.
The event takes place on the IOL Campus at 200 Retreat Avenue, Hartford, CT 06114. Registration details and fees are provided for each event: registration for the two 5K categories opens January 20, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026 with fees of $20 for the 5K 17 and under and $40 for the 5K 18 and older. The free single circuit fun run for ages 10 and under has registration opening January 19, 2026 and closing October 2, 2026; it is free and requires participants to finish one lap in under 20 minutes.
Event features include professional timing and scoring by Fast Track Timing, awards for top male, female, and non-binary finishers across multiple age groups, and reusable water bottles and t-shirts provided free with registration to 5K participants in both age categories.
