The Scrooge Scramble is the 45th annual 5K road race held in Vernon Rockville, CT (Prospect Street, 06066) on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Entry for 2025 is online; the listed registration fee is $27.50 (includes a $2.50 fee). The registration price increases after December 23, 2025 at 5:00 pm EST. The race is presented by TruNorth Construction, with Platt Systems listed as a sponsor.
Course, registration and charity
The course is a USATF certified out-and-back with a turnaround at 121 Ellington Ave. All race proceeds benefit Cornerstone programs: shelters, a soup kitchen, a food cupboard, and a clothing bank. Participants are asked to pin race numbers to the front of the jersey using four pins. Although entry is online for 2025, a pay-by-check option on race day is noted; the organizer provides a coupon code for that option valid only on December 25 and checks are to be made payable to the Cornerstone Foundation.
