HTC Winter Series Barkhamsted 8.5/17 mile
This is a hand timed club run held on 01/10/2027 at Matthies Grove Parking area, People's State Forest, 106 East River Road, Barkhamsted, CT 06063. The course is entirely on roads and follows rolling hills that meander along the Farmington River.
The route goes outbound on East River Road, turns left onto Route 20 through Riverton center, and returns inbound on West River Road. The event is organized as one or two laps of the same circuit; the second lap yields the longer distance listed below.

If a participant finishes after the first lap, they should proceed to the finish table and provide their name to the timer. Runners who continue for a second lap should also report their name to the timer at the conclusion of the second lap. Timed results will be published on Runsignup.
Registration is free and limited to 150 participants. Registration opens 11/23/2026 and closes 01/09/2027. Organizers request donations to help cover basic event costs and note that volunteers are needed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
